35: Overcoming Superwoman Syndrome with Ama Brew
Today I’m joined by Ama Brew, a best-selling author, keynote speaker, life-balance strategist, and certified wellness coach. After a career in Human Resources, Ama started a childcare business and lost herself in her business for years. She struggled to create a better work-life balance and shifted careers into her current position as a life-balance strategist.
Ama realized early on that in the corporate workplace environment, “you needed to be all in to succeed.” When her premature twins were born, she realized that the corporate world wasn’t a good fit for a new mom of two children who needed extra care. Ama started a daycare business to have her children with her during the day. What she came to realize was that it wasn’t corporate that was burning her out; it was her lifestyle.
Ama now works with highly-driven, goal-achieving women who have a vision and want to “do it all” minus burnout. Ama uses her system to give her clients a way out of a hectic, stressful life.
